SmartCAM Version 17.5 introduces a number of new toolpath modeling improvements including enhancements to Profile Extend, Corner Roll Control and Optimization of Layer Geometry. These improvements deliver greater toolpath control than ever before (8 minutes, 42 seconds).

The Solid Pocketing process has been enhanced to include several new capabilities which expand the types of pocket features it can be applied to, and improves machining efficiency and cycle times (7 minutes, 58 seconds).

An all new process for automated roughing toolpath generation directly from a solid model is introduced in SmartCAM V17. The new Planar Rough process generates tool path for rough machining from a solid or surface model using a stock volume (9 minutes, 0 seconds).

Several new capabilities found in the SmartCAM V17 Named View feature expand the functionality and add powerful opportunities for automation (7 minutes, 2 seconds).

SmartCAM's Named View functionality has been enhanced to support view change previews, easily create multiple views, and to capture selected application-state information with the view-state information (11 minutes, 6 seconds).
