Overview of Menu, Toolbar, and Hotkey Customizations

SmartCAM allows you to add a custom User menu; from which, you can add your CTK/MCL automations and custom panels. You can add, edit, or modify toolbars. And assign your own macros to hotkeys.

These customizations may need manual effort to move them from a previous SmartCAM release to a new SmartCAM release. To greatly (and perhaps entirely) eliminate this effort, make sure you read and understand the Customizing SmartCAM Learning SmartCAM topic. This topic explains how the customization is best created, in order to reduce effort to move to a new release.

The two most important concepts to understand, when customizing SmartCAM, are that you should not modify shipped SmartCAM files (where possible). And, that you should save your custom files in the \ProgramData\SmartCAM\Common\ path, in a folder that you created.
